two tools that I just heard years after learning about packaging are :<div><br></div><div>debootstrap - debian like</div><div><br></div><div>febootstrap - redhat like</div><div><br></div><div>So you can simulate your package being installed on a VERY BASIC and fresh-installed system =) pretty useful.<br>
