Meh, sorry about the formatting, apparently github doesn't like copy-pasted diffs in comments...
Anyway, point being you dont need all that, just change the log line to something like this so it emits the name in all cases:

`rpmlog(RPMLOG_WARNING, _("line %d: second %%files for package %s\n"), spec->lineNum, rpmstrPoolStr(pkg->pool, pkg->name));`
