@Conan-Kudo I understand your perspective. And I agree that "arm64" is widely used. But that usage is unfortunate. The reason that it is NOT used in the Fedora/RHEL/CentOS ecosystem is out of respect for, and as a courtesy to Arm, who requested the original usage of "aarch64".

I'm not trying to rewrite history though. I'm simply trying to explain why the difference exists. There are many other technical reasons why introducing mappings between arm64->aarch64 cause problems in the Fedora/RHEL/CentOS universe.
