<p>"./rpm -i rpm-stackoverflow-glob.rpm" is exactly what I was asking for - yes I assumed it must be that but then I don't know, because I cannot reproduce that. Neither could RH security IIRC.</p>

<p>Maybe it's down to different compiler flags and the like - what CFLAGS etc are you using to compile?</p>
