<p>Usually the C++ Compiler removes the copy creation (see <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copy_elision#Return_value_optimization" rel="nofollow">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copy_elision#Return_value_optimization</a>). But yes, I don't see why postincrement needs to be supported, preincrement should be enough.</p>
