From mdomonko at redhat.com Tue Sep 10 14:28:30 2024 From: mdomonko at redhat.com (Michal Domonkos) Date: Tue, 10 Sep 2024 16:28:30 +0200 Subject: [Rpm-announce] RPM 4.20.0 RC2 released! Message-ID: While RC1 just barely cooled off, a number of QoL fixes have landed upstream, some of which are too useful to miss the 4.20.0 window, so here goes RC2. This is the final planned RC so if no significant issues are found, we'll declare it final in the coming weeks. Most notably in this release, "%autosetup -C" now works properly with zip and 7zip archives which allows distros to actually adopt this new option. An old bug in %transfiletriggerpostun where it would only ever activate on the first listed prefix is now also fixed. This bug impacted the folks working on the upcoming unification of /usr/bin and /usr/sbin in Fedora, implemented with file triggers. Some other small patches were included as well, including a translation update from Fedora Weblate.
