Subject: [Rpm-announce] RPM 6.1.0 released!

Traditionally, minor releases of RPM would represent the boundary where
backwards compatibility wasn't guaranteed. This sometimes caused breakage, or
even worse, wreaked havoc in the packaging space. Therefore, a while ago, we
decided [1] to change our release model to one where a minor release, while
bringing in new features, represents a stable update that one can move to
without worrying about breaking changes. This release is the first one that
follows that model.

Highlights include:

* Improved keystore locking mechanism
* Restored NSS-based user/group lookups by default
* Support for literal and one-shot macros through a new macro modifier syntax
* New %define options for expansion at definition and global context
* Improved and fixed build and verification error handling
* Improved usability of rpm-plugin-syslog(8)
* A set of newly written man pages
* Various bug fixes that didn't fit into the latest security update (6.0.2)
