File glob not working in suse 11.3/rpm 4.4.2.3

Hello

I have .spec files that uses file glob in the '%files' section, and they 
all work ok in centos 6.5/rpm 4.8.0, but fail completely in suse 
11.3/rpm 4.4.2.3. E.G :

%_libdir/*.a
%_libdir/*.so

Works fine in centos, but not in suse. I even tried to write the files 
individually in the .spec file, but it still fails when running 
'rpmbuild' in suse.

Any clues what am I doing wrong ?
