[Rpm-maint] How does -f work?

Hello *,

 

I'm building a package and theres an issue with my .spec-file.

 

In various manuals I read about the option -f. They all say more or less
commonly that -f can be used to read the %files from a file specified by
-f.

Some manuals also say that -f should work with %pre %post ... an these
scripts. 

But I found that it doesn't work for me.

 

Is there any chance that -f will work with %pre too? 

When the answer is  "YES" then how will it work?
