It cannot work on the basis of what any random fork of rpm may decide to
do. That way lies madness. Take the best ideas and the most reasonable
ones and implement them based on the needs of the user base. That's it.
Do not worry about chasing compatibility with a fork that clearly has no
interest in the needs of the users you are working for.
