I have a suggestion for RPM that would improve RPM much.

Conary, the package management of rPath has a very cool way of updating your system.
Conary updates only those specific files in packages which need to be updated; this behavior minimizes bandwidth and time requirements for updating software packages. Conary also features Rollbacks of package installation as well as derived packages.

It would be great when RPM could adopt some features of this because this would speed up the downloading and it would reduce the needed bandwith of your servers.
