[Rpm-maint] byte compile error

Hi all,

   I am trying to distribute some cross compiled files(for MIPS) as RPM. but
during the RPM creation procedure 'brp-python-bytecompile: line 23' shows
Segmentation fault. Any one knows if that step is essential ? Any help is
highly appreciated.
