[Rpm-maint] [rpm-software-management/rpm] Fix issue #608. (#609)

Merged manually to expand a bit on the fix commit message - it's good to refer to ticket numbers etc when they exist, but the relevant into should always be in the commit message itself because... well, ticket systems come and go (this is our third I think), commit messages are forever. 

Anyway, thanks for the patches!
