@pmatilai I understand well the reasons for marking packages built this way as tainted _by default_ but I also see it natural that software provides an option to override the default behavior. Please notice that there is already the --noprep switch that does _exactly_ the same for the %prep stage -- patch was contributed by my colleague yars ago.
We have been using rpmbuild patched like this as a backend tool in our SDK. It enables us to provide seamless integration with an IDE which trats each build phase separately.
