> I was hoping this could be reported to go crypto and possibly fix, as reading the comment in code felt more like "This break the RFC, but happens to work, so let's do it.", but then I stumble on [golang/go#44226](https://github.com/golang/go/issues/44226) which deprecates go-crypto.

The OpenPGP implementation was broken out of go-crypto by Proton, which they continue to maintain and develop as [gopenpgp](https://github.com/ProtonMail/gopenpgp).
