I'd recommend copying the history too, there's over 20 years of history in there.

The name of the repo is up to you of course, but just for reference the python counterpart is named thus: https://github.com/rpm-software-management/python-rpm-packaging
The nice thing about that is that there's no confusing it with the language bindings.
