Right, lzip and lrzip are indeed streams despite their names. I didn't know/remember, and certainly didn't know what 7zip does there. I'd make a note of this in the commit message to confirm that we've actually looked at the situation at this point. It's further documented now in the data structure itself.
Not everything is about number of changed lines. When new formats are added, this forces people to consider this aspect of the format. And, keeping the cmd field clean allows using it for other purposes. Don't abuse a data structure when you don't *have to*.
