Can you please give an example for better understanding? Generally we look at hardly first five or ten entries of changelog and if a spec has hundreds of entries, users need to scroll a lot to get to the latest changelog entries. I agree that this might break somethings for non tty invocations but I am open to inputs, and making this better and more user friendly.
