Hmm, I did not think of installing it anywhere. I usually copy it into a project which uses it (generates C code out of it) and that's all. As the interface is introspectable, it can be usually generated on the fly by the tools introspecting the D-Bus interfaces. Your use case of the D-Bus is kinda different though.

Looking into the dnf5 code, which also has D-Bus interface files, they do install it in there. I updated here as well just now.
