Okay, having slept over it, now I think I understand (better) what this ticket is about: `--build-in-place` operates on an exploded source tree by design and thus, there's no obvious way to create an SRPM out of it. Hence the mention of automatic `git archive` as one possible solution. I was wrong when I said that `-bs` was supposed to just work, too.

In #3131, this is basically covered by very the first checkbox.
