Also, the version map thing still requires version-script support for the linker, whether the symbols are versioned or not. The mere visibility attributes are more widely supported. Although, all that said, our primary platforms support both and beyond that its of limited interest. Which makes it all pretty meh. But, Drepper. Sigh. :sweat_smile:
