group name lookups to use the passwd file. Curiously enough, this didn't
cause any test failures but that's probably because of the UID and GID
numbers as well as user and group names being identical in those tests,
in which case using either of the files produced equivalent results.

The things that sometimes escape both the test-suite and review :laughing:
