The more I mess around with this, the less I like the names so far. This will let us replace special casing of built-in macros in the code. And where "const" might be reasonable for your average "_somedir /fu/bar" macros, it makes no sense for function-like entities. Ditto with read-only.

My internal dictionary came up with "immutable" as the next candidate...
